Space Willing N Dealing will present Lee Sejun's solo exhibition "Finally When You and I Meet" from April 15 to May 14, 2023. Lee Sejun fills the canvas with various object and landscape images with a desire to paint every aspect of the world. He has also tried his own methodology that captures everything in the world that is hard to recognize by perceiving figurative and abstract paintings in one scene. It continues an imaginary landscape or scene that can be connected through an amorphous canvas between the paintings completed at a different time, creating an "organic painting" as if the image were gradually proliferating.

In this exhibition, Lee Sejun will present <Anti Plot_Space Arcade>, in which 13 paintings look like one specific scene. This is a form in which the entire space looks like a huge mural structure with a diamond-shaped <interval> series sandwiched between the landscapes of different scenes from 2018 to 2020. It's a task, but you can't see it at once: Just as various forms and objects are constantly found on the canvas painted by Lee, this work also creates a form that cannot be recognized at once. This metaphorizes that Lee's desire to "describe everything in the world" is bound to be an unreachable aspiration, as Lee's experience does not exist as everything in the world and cannot detect everything in the world.

​The space is designed where figurative and abstract painting, dramatically high and low saturation/brightness, conflicting color temperatures, the artist's personal objects and scenery, and another impression of the audience responding to them can be combined. Despite not being able to recognize/experience/sense everything, the artist presents a view beyond time and space where certain landscapes can meet through the new <Interval> series. Therefore, the audience also meets a place of contact where they can sense not only the world they have experienced but also the world of others in the exhibition space.
